No 1 British Flying Training School Museum is celebrating Women’s History Month.  Visit the museum, follow us on Facebook and visit our website to learn about the women whose strength and dedication contributed so much to the success in training 2200 + cadets to take to the skies for the freedom of the allied nations during World War II.

No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum

In Spring 1941, the United Kingdom had already been at war with Germany for eighteen long months. With no end to hostilities in sight, the small island nation was in dire need of additional trained aircrews. Thanks to the Lend Lease Agreement, Britain turned to friends across the Atlantic –– and the No. 1 British Flying Training School in Terrell, Texas was born.

We are currently OPEN during our regular business hours!  We are continuing our Wednesday – Saturday operating hours from 10 am to 4 pm. Needless to say, we’re excited about welcoming you back to the Museum!  We’ve missed you!

 We will be following the state-wide and local COVID-19 guidelines for museum re-opening that includes everyone wearing masks (except young children), maintaining social distancing, and constant cleaning. Please bring your own mask and hand sanitizer.
