The No. 1 BFTS Museum is the only surviving physical example of a unique global, national, and regional story — the United States’ role in training Royal Air Force cadets to fly in defense of the United Kingdom against the Axis powers during World War II. The first of six British Flying Training Schools established in the United States, No. 1 BFTS celebrates not only this piece of our nation’s history but our country’s enduring ties with Canada and the United Kingdom — and the role the community of Terrell played in the program’s success and in the Museum’s continued support. Your support is crucial to keeping this important piece of our nation’s history, and Terrell’s, alive through artifact preservation, education programs, exhibits, and special events. Your tax-deductible membership lasts a full twelve (12) months, and your membership dollars support a variety of operational needs, such as: Each Patron level takes its name from the Royal Air Force ranks the cadets who trained at Terrell aspired to. The higher the rank, the deeper your support — and every membership is tax-deductible and runs a full twelve months. The gold braid on each Patron level is the actual Royal Air Force rank insignia an officer of that rank wore on their sleeve. Looking to go beyond Group Captain? Sponsorship opportunities are available above the Group Captain Patron level — please contact the Executive Director to discuss. There are several ways to join or renew your membership with the No. 1 BFTS Museum — pick the one that suits you best. 119 Silent Wings Blvd. Terrell, TX 75160 Send a check payable to No. 1 BFTS Museum Give us a call at 972-551-1122 Thank you for standing with the No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum! The Only Surviving School of Its Kind
